All of which we deliver in the amounts necessary to ensure that the maximum benefits of The Edge system are realized.

A computer system can have more impact on a business than you may realize. Most jewelers see it as a device for controlling inventory, building customer databases, producing sales report, etc. They may not realize its potential for making them tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of dollars more, so they don’t aim for that goal.

Introductory Course

This course is designed to get you off on the right foot. It’s offered free for one person from each store with the purchase of The Edge software.
You’ll receive hands-on training from excellent, knowledgeable and very patient instructors insuring that you get off to a quick and easy start. All the essentials are covered in this two-day program, available either at our Connecticut facility or as a webinar presented in four-hour sessions over four consecutive days. Both courses contain the same content; only the delivery mechanism is different. Choose the one that best meets your needs.

Advanced Course

After you are comfortable operating The Edge on a day-to-day basis, it’s time to learn how to take advantage of every profit enhancing feature. After all, this should be why you computerized in the first place. You will learn how to create a lean, dynamic, profit-producing inventory and how to keep it that way. You will also learn how to measure the effectiveness of your advertising and sales staff, to find who your top customers are, and to motivate sales performance with profit-based commissions. All the management reports are discussed in this two-day session.

On-Site Training

On-site instruction is a great way to train the entire staff – and can be more convenient and less expensive than sending them all to Connecticut. We’ll come to you with a curriculum tailored to meet your individual needs. Each of your departments will receive the training they require: sales staff, office staff, repair department and management. Every employee will learn how best to utilize The Edge based on their department’s needs, with time allotted for issues that concern them specifically.

Business Building Education

Over and above our Introductory and Advanced software training, The Edge offers additional business advice, mentoring and workshops that help you interpret the system’s reports properly and develop strategies that deliver improved results from your staff, advertising, customers and inventory.

The Edge in conjunction with the Edge Retail Academy offers three workshop/seminars annually that will help you become a better, more profitable jewelry store. These are two- and three-day programs hosted in various locations throughout the US.

The Edge Retail Academy provides one-on-one mentoring and consulting services that cover all aspects of running a successful jewelry store, from start-up to exit strategies – and everything in between. The analytics produced by the Edge Retail Academy are built on sound principles using the highest quality data extracted from The Edge software, and provide the foundation for sound business decisions.
